A recent article on NREI indicates that although the financial hurdles are there, the return to centralizing of our live/work/play options are gaining ground. Maybe its the lack of actual ground that continues to drive the trend. Regardless, there is a growing demand for adaptive and creative new uses to old structures and sights. The cost to adapt and recycle may soon be more cost effective than starting from scratch.
